Welcome to Phoenix!
Welcome to Woolaston Primary School. This year I will be in Phoenix with the Year 3 children. Some of you will already know that I taught Year 3 when I first joined Woolaston Primary School in 2012; I am very excited to teach this year group again!
I really enjoy teaching Lower Key Stage 2 and have loved teaching both Year 3 and Year 4. This is one of my favourite age groups to teach because when the new Year 3 children arrive in September, they are brand new to Upper School and by the end of their first year you can really see how they have developed into mature and sensible members of Upper School. Throughout the year, each child grows in a variety of ways, especially in confidence and their sense of pride in their own achievements is a delight to see!
As lots of you already know, I love animals! I have had a variety of animals ranging from cats to horses. I feel extremely lucky to have a fantastic fish tank in my classroom. I particularly enjoy encouraging the children to look after our class fish, Fish and Chips, and I love seeing them all take great care when they are fish monitors.
I am very pleased to welcome Miss Niblett to my classroom. She knows the children very well and will continue to support them with their learning.
I am also very pleased to welcome Wendy to my classroom. She is a long-serving and valued member of the school who will be helping with reading and other daily tasks a few times a week.
I look forward to a successful year of learning and to meeting you all soon. If you have any questions or queries, please come and visit me at school.
