Class Teacher - Mrs Gomersall
This year I will be teaching Atlantis class and I am really looking forward to supporting the children on their learning journey. This will be my first year at Woolaston School and I am very keen to get to know all the pupils, staff and parents. I have previously worked at a very large school in Wales and I am really enjoying the welcoming community ethos here at the school. The pupils and staff have been really helpful and I am thoroughly enjoying my new role as deputy headteacher.
Atlantis class will be working on some exciting new topics which I'm sure they will find motivating and engaging. The topic webs will be put on the class page every term so that you can share what the children have been doing in school and you can help with their learning. Atlantis class will also have weekly violin lessons provided by Gloucestershire music so I'm sure by the end of the year we will have some potential musicians in the class.
I'm looking forward to meeting all the parents on the consultation evenings but if there are any worries or concerns at any time please don't hesitate to come and see me.
Year 4 Homework and Spelling Day Change
Year 4 homework has gone home tonight (sorry it didn't go on Friday) and another short piece will go out on Friday for half term. After half term all homework will go home on a Friday to be returned on a Wednesday and spellings will also be sent home on a Friday. The weekly spelling test will still be carried out on a Friday.
