Reopening Risk Assessment

A Message from Woolaston Staff to Pupils

This is a little message to say we miss you all and can't wait to see you all soon. Enjoy!

This section of our website has been created to help parents and carers to support their child at home should the school be closed due to the spread of the Coronavirus. This section includes parent information booklets for each year group that detail what the children will learn in maths and English and currciculum overviews that show what is taught in each subject for the year. There are also topic plans that show what will be covered in the other subjects in the Spring term. I have also put the Read Write Inc parents guide here so that parents of pupils in the infants can see what sounds and words are taught in each part of the Read Write Inc programme. The sounds and words have been created so they can be cut up to make flashcards. Finally there is a list of useful websites that can be used to support maths, English and topic work at home.

Author Ellie Jackson has written a book for children about Coronavirus called The Little Corona King. It is available to download for 49p and parent reviews say it has helped their children to understand what is happening without causing anxiety.
