Coronavirus update 12/3/20
I wanted to take the opportunity to update you on the current procedures and practices that we have put in place during this Coronavirus outbreak. I have attached a risk assessment that details how the school intends to respond as the virus continues to spread across the country. The class teachers have made packs of work ready to send home should the government take the decision to close schools and I will also be adding websites to our school website that will support learning should this decision be made. As a school we subscribe to Twinkl who provide resources to aid teaching, in response to possible school closures Twinkl will give all parents free access to their site for one month using a code. I will ensure this code is provided to all parents in the event of a closure as there are lots of very useful maths, English and topic resources. In the meantime we are continuing to ensure the pupils use hand sanitiser before play and lunch and after lunch and we are also actively encouraging correct handwashing - even the youngest pupils know they need to sing Happy Birthday twice as they wash! We will also continue to send water bottles home daily so that they can be washed. As a school we have purchased Milton to ensure that surfaces are disinfected daily and we have a ordered more hand sanitiser. If you have any concerns please don't hesitate to contact me.
