Coronavirus update 13/3/20

We have been informed this morning that there is a confirmed case of Coronavirus in Beachley and I have sought advice from Public Health England regarding concerns that people may have come into contact with the person affected. The advice from Public Health England was that pupils can continue to attend school until either a person within their household becomes affected and tests positive for Coronavirus or the pupil shows symptoms of the virus. In either of these situations the family would then need to isolate themselves.  I have also contacted the Department for Education to seek advice on what to do if pupils develop a cough, fever or high temperature, the advice was that pupils were to be kept at home for 7 days after the first signs of the symptoms. All absences of this nature will be authorised. We will continue to keep you informed if we receive any new information but if you have any concerns please don't hesitate to contact me.
School is open to those who have registered as follows Keyworkers 1st June, Reception 4th June and Year 1 8th June. Please contact the office if you have any questions.
