PAN Reduction Consultation

As part of our responsibility to plan carefully for the future of the school, the Governing Body has reviewed our staffing structure in light of our current and projected pupil numbers.

Like many primary schools nationally, we are operating in a context of changing pupil demographics and lower pupil numbers. As school funding is closely linked to the number of pupils on roll, it is important that our staffing structure remains appropriate and financially sustainable.

Current pupil-number projections indicate that this is something we need to plan for beyond the immediate academic year.

We are therefore proposing changes to ensure that our staffing structure reflects the number of pupils we expect to have in school and provides greater security and sustainability for our class structure in future years. It doesn't change classes or have an impact in pupils already in the school

Our priority throughout this process remains the quality of education, care and support provided to our children. The proposed changes are intended to place the school on a secure and sustainable footing while protecting high-quality teaching and learning.

We recognise that any proposed staffing changes can cause understandable concern within a school community. We will therefore manage the process sensitively, fairly and in accordance with the appropriate consultation procedures.
