School Day and Collection Arrangements

Woolaston Primary School follows a six-term academic year, running from September to August. Our annual school calendar, including term dates and key events, can be found via the link below.

School Day

The school day begins at 9:00am and ends at 3:30pm for all pupils.

Children may enter and leave the school site using either:

• The gate located next to Woolaston Under 5's
• The Memorial Hall gate

Both entrances open at 8:55am and close promptly at 9:00am. At the end of the day, the gates re-open at 3:20pm for collection and close at 3:40pm.

Arrivals and Collection

At the start of the day, children are welcomed into their classrooms by staff.

At the end of the school day, children are dismissed from their classroom doors and will only be released to adults named on their authorised collection list. To ensure the safety of all pupils, it is important that parents and carers keep these details up to date and inform the school office of any changes to collection arrangements as soon as possible.

If someone different is collecting your child, please notify the school office before the end of the school day so that staff can ensure a safe and smooth handover.
