Welcome to Woolaston Primary School

Welcome to Woolaston Primary School, a caring, vibrant and inclusive school at the heart of our local community. We are proud to be part of the Forest Edge Federation, working closely alongside Tutshill Church of England Primary School to provide excellent educational opportunities for all children.

At Woolaston Primary School, we believe that education opens the door to every child's future. We are committed to nurturing children academically, socially and emotionally, ensuring they develop the confidence, resilience and skills they need to thrive both in school and beyond.

Our school is a friendly and welcoming environment where every child is valued and encouraged to achieve their full potential. Through a broad and balanced curriculum, enriched by our local area and school heritage, we provide engaging learning experiences that inspire curiosity, creativity and a lifelong love of learning.

Our Classes

Our classes are named after birds and currently consist of:

  • Sparrows – Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS)
  • Starlings – Years 1 and 2
  • Robins – Years 3 and 4
  • Woodpeckers – Years 5 and 6

The School Day

The school day begins at 9:00am and finishes at 3:30pm.

  • School gates open at 8:50am, when children and parents may enter the playground.
  • Children are welcomed into their classrooms from 8:55am.
  • At the end of the day, gates open at 3:20pm and children are dismissed at 3:30pm.

The school can be accessed via two entrances:

  • The upper entrance adjacent to Woolaston Community Centre.
  • The gate located between Woolaston Under 5's and the main school building.

For safeguarding reasons, children are only released to parents or authorised adults. If someone different will be collecting your child, please inform the school office in advance. Children in Years 5 and 6 may walk home independently only with written parental consent.

Our Values

Our school values underpin everything we do. Each term we focus on values that encourage children to become respectful, considerate and responsible members of the community. We strive to develop independent, resilient learners who persevere when faced with challenges and take pride in their achievements.

We want every child to leave Woolaston Primary School fully prepared for the next stage of their education, equipped with a positive attitude towards learning and the confidence to achieve their ambitions.
